A man accused of being involved in a violent home invasion in Lehigh Acres last month is expected to make his first appearance Wednesday morning.
Johnny Wade turned himself in at the Lee County Jail early Wednesday morning. He is accused of forcing his way into a home on 12th Street Southwest on November 25. Another suspect involved has not been identified.
Investigators believe Wade and the second suspect were looking for someone in the home. When they realized he wasn’t there, investigators say the pair forced their way in, held a woman against a wall at gunpoint and ransacked the place.
Deputies say they stole the woman’s car, two cell phones and demanded cash.
Wade is charged with residential home invasion robbery with a firearm and is currently being held without bond at the Lee County Jail.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is offering $1,000 for the identity, arrest and conviction of the second suspect.
