Graham Not Coming To
Lehigh Senior As Expected

Earnest Graham

With all the speculation over the weekend; Earnest Graham rescinds resignation as coach of North Fort Myers, Monday afternoon.

Earnest Graham met with his North Fort Myers football team on Friday to announce his resignation as the Red Knights football coach.

That didn’t last long.

Graham rescinded his resignation on Monday, the Lee County School District confirmed, and will remain North’s football coach for the foreseeable future.

The 34-year-old Graham, a Mariner High graduate who spent five seasons as a running back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led the Red Knights to a 5-5 record in his first season year with the team.

Graham had been one of 66 applicants for the vacant Lehigh Senior High head coaching position but has pulled his name from consideration.

Lehigh Senior principal Jackie Corey will re-open her school’s football head coaching search, according to district spokesperson Amity Chandler, after conducting several interviews and being “displeased with the remaining pool.”
