700 Southwest Florida students
to compete for over $900,000 in scholarships

On Saturday, February 7, 2015 approximately 700 students will participate in the Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Science and Engineering Fair and the Thomas A. Edison Inventors Fair.  Public school, private school and home-schooled students from Southwest Florida will be competing at the Florida Gulf Coast University Alico Arena for over $900,000 in scholarships from local universities and colleges. This is a sanctioned event of the Edison Festival of Light (EFOL) showcasing 400 extraordinary Science Fair projects and approximately 300 ingenious Inventions.  Judging begins at 9 AM.  The Inventors Fair will be open to the public between 1:30 and 4 PM and the Science from approximately 2 PM to 5 PM. Again Lehigh Acres Gazette will hand out awards to Lehigh Acres students.
