Lehigh Acres – Lee Boulevard: MCF, Enterprises Inc. will be working in the area of 4207 Lee Boulevard beginning Tuesday, August 26, 2014. The work is scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a single lane closure in the east bound lane of Lee Boulevard east of Gunnery Road. This project should be completed by Friday, August 29th.
Lehigh Acres: 23rd Street SW and Gunnery Road: Lee County DOT is extending the left turn lane on 23rd Street at Gunnery Road. A posted detour will re-route east bound traffic at Floyd Avenue. On Friday, August 22, 2014, DOT will have a posted detour for west bound traffic at Douglas Avenue to Gunnery Road. All closures and detours will be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This project is expected to be completed by October, 2014.
Landscaping Lee Boulevard: Lee County DOT will perform landscaping work and prune median trees on Lee Boulevard from State Road 82 to Leeland Heights Boulevard. The crew will begin this project on July 21, 2014 and anticipate to be completed by August 28, 2014. Motorists are advised to use caution in this area as an outside lane closure will occur east and west bound.
Lehigh Acres: Beth Stacey – Business Way – Ridgecrest Street: Lee County is constructing a roundabout at Beth Stacey, Business Way and Ridgecrest Street in Lehigh Acres. There will be periodic lane closures during off peak times and flaggers will be present to control traffic through the work area. During some construction operations, detours will be posted to direct traffic around the intersection. Expected completion is November, 2014.
