The Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange’s July speaker will be Dr. Monica Ozores-Hampton. Join us for this free monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 17th at Veterans Park Recreation Center, 55 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres, FL 33936.
Dr. Ozores-Hampton has statewide responsibility for vegetable production and works out of the Southwest Florida Research and Education Center in Immokalee, FL. Her program focuses on proper nutrient use and fertilization. These practices help facilitate the adoption of better nutrient management practices by the vegetable industry. This meeting is sure to appeal to anyone with interests in nutrition, botany, or agriculture.
