Though I do believe that Fire Chief John Wayne is honorable man and is the right man to lead the department. And I have know him for more than 10 years.
But the Fire Chief has put himself very precarious situation. Fight for the Lehigh Acres Community or Fight for the Fire Department.
“The Fire Fee Assessment is the only alternative we have right now.” said Chief Wayne in a email to the Lehigh Acres Gazette.
So I’m going taking he up on his offer, sitting down with him and have him convince me that fire fee assessment is the only alternative as I hope he will have a open mind to listen to cost saving measures that the department has not tried from and readers of the Lehigh Acres Gazette.
