On Saturday, July 26, 2014, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call of a single vehicle crash located in front of 2523 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres (Walmart).
Due to the nature of the call, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigators responded to the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling east bound on Lee Blvd. at a high rate of speed. Upon attempting to traverse a curve, the vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree at the driver’s side door. The vehicle rotated around the tree, coming to a final rest. The Pontiac also struck a shopping cart that was pushed forward, causing damage to two parked cars in the Walmart parking lot.
As a result, the driver, Kyle Ryan Kashner, 26, of Lehigh Acres was pronounced deceased on scene.
