Marion C. Scannell 80, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away peacefully on Monday April 7, 2014 at her home. She was born in North Bergen, NJ and moved to FL with her husband in 1953. Marion was an active member of the First Baptist Church, worked at the Lehigh Pharmacy and helped start the woman’s chapter of the Lehigh YMCA. Her hobby was swimming at the local country club and community pool.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend who was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Scannell, son Clint Scannell, mother, brother & sister. Marion is survived by her son Buddy Scannell, daughter Kim Scannell, grandchildren Danny, Chris, Jessica, Brian, Brandi, Josey and Tyler; and 2 great-grandchildren Kyson and Jocelyn. Marion was actively involved in the community and will be greatly missed by all.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 7:00 pm at Grace International Church 200 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936 on the 17th of April, 2014. Family will start receiving friends at 6:15. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Hope Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
