Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District firefighters participated in the 2014 Public Safety Softball Tournament held at the Lee County Sports Complex on April 6, 2014. Sounds like the gloves and bats were hot that day as the Lehigh team won 1st Place defeating North Ft. Myers FD 14-7, Lee County EMS 12-2, and Estero FD 22-6. All proceeds were donated to Danielle DiBenedetto (South Trail FD) and Bill Damewood (Ft. Myers FD) who are both battling cancer.
