A home invasion robbery occurred Monday morning at 5213 Lee Street in Lehigh Acres.
The suspects are reported to be two black men. Lee County Sheriff’s Office says this was not a random event and the public is not in danger.

We’ve seen crime scene units take pictures, dust for prints and collect evidence. We’ve also seen deputies talk to the apparent homeowners — who didn’t want to talk to us.
As we’ve reported, this break-in is one of many crimes occurring within the last few days. Late last week there was a robbery reported on Clow Street, and a few blocks from there another break-in occurred off Chezy Street.
Deputies also busted a grow house in that same area. Tonight, Lehigh leaders are hoping this is this crime is the last of it.
“Obviously we’re a bit concerned when it does happen on a regular basis, but we just feel society is changing slightly,” said Tami Baker, Community Council of Lehigh Acres.
