Food, games and plenty of entertainment — there’s no doubt the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival will have everything you’re looking for.
But, as always, most of the attention will be on the safety of the rides during setup this week.
Five kids were injured at the 2013 Lehigh Acres Spring Festival a ride called “The Ring of Fire.” An inspection found several parts of the ride in poor condition and broke during operation.
A similar ride to that — called “Fireball” — is now at the Collier fair and those crews say it’s getting a little more attention.
And a sister ride also called “The Ring of Fire” is currently setup at Gulf Coast Town Center.
The Spring Festival opens Friday at 6 p.m. This year the theme Southern Fried Festival www.lehighspringfestival.com
