The Annual Meeting of the Arts of the Inland will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Riverbend Clubhouse, 1031 Riverbend Drive, LaBelle. (North on Hwy. 29 across the Caloosahatchee River, take the first right on to Riverbend Drive, follow the road for 1-1/2 miles. The clubhouse is the first building on the right.) The public is invited.
There will be a special demonstration by AOI member Donna Thewlis on the Art of Porcelain Painting, using powdered minerals mixed with oil on porcelain tiles some as thin as paper. Her artwork is then fired in a kiln several times, framed and wired for hanging. Donna is a member of local and state Porcelain Painters and has won many awards in various competitions.
