Thieving Couple Goes Shopping
With Someone Else’s Money

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who went on a shopping spree with a credit card stolen just 20 minutes prior.

Surveillance cameras at two Lehigh Acres stores caught the duo on tape making purchases ranging from fans to fast food with a credit card that had been stolen from an unlocked car between shortly after 11:30 p.m. on January 14th.  In the short time the victim was away from her car, someone helped themselves to her purse, personal identification and credit cards.  Within 20 minutes, the first purchase was made at 11:49 p.m. at Walgreens by a Hispanic female, with subsequent charges made by a Hispanic male for beer and other items.  The duo went from business to business until their final destination of Wal Mart, where they were spotted trying to purchase children’s clothing.  The female victim can be seen on camera swiping the stolen card, which by that point was declined as a result of the cardholder realizing she’d been victimized.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of these two suspects are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
