Three teens were arrested after threatening a woman with a gun and stealing her car.
It happened at the intersection of Milwaukee Boulevard and Eisenhower Boulevard.
According to LCSO, deputies responded to a woman’s report about three armed black males stealing her vehicle.
The woman told deputies once she pulled up to the intersection; she was confronted by the three teens.
The three teens walked directly in front of her vehicle and she was unable to drive forward. One of the teens jumped on her hood, while the other demanded she give him her vehicle.
The woman’s window was down at the time allowing the suspect to reach in, grab the back of her head, and press the handgun into her forehead.
That’s when the woman got out of the car with her purse, left the keys in the car and let them take it.
The three teens jumped into the vehicle and drove off.
The victim immediately called 911, describing the vehicle to authorities.
A deputy found a vehicle matching the description going north on Bell Boulevard.
The suspects attempted to avoid law enforcement and led them on a chase before crashing into a stop sign. After the crash, the teens got out of the vehicle and ran away.
K9 units and a helicopter were used to search for the suspects – who were found hiding in a wooded area just south of where the car crash.
The victim identified 17-year-old’s. All three teens were arrested and charged with carjacking with a firearm.
