LRMC Provides Thanksgiving
Dinners To Local Families

Once again this year Lehigh Regional Medical Center provided 25 turkeys, and the associates prepared 25 huge baskets of all the items needed, and more, to offer Thanksgiving dinners to families in our community.

Lehigh Community Services selects families who are experiencing difficulties, and would be unable to provide their children with a traditional dinner this Thanksgiving. Lehigh Regional provides the turkeys, and the associates create baskets overflowing with everything needed for a Thanksgiving feast.

This is a partnership with the hospital and Lehigh Community services that has been ongoing for many years, and the various departments at Lehigh Regional compete to create the most creative, innovative and content filled containers. The result is that the “baskets” are huge containers overflowing with fixins’ and much more. Most cannot be carried – but taken by cart to the recipient’s vehicles!!

“It’s a wonderful tradition we have developed with Lehigh Community Services, and it is so fulfilling to see the happy, smiling faces of the grateful families who come by to collect their baskets and turkey. Everyone at the hospital is excited to participate, and are pleased to have the opportunity to help our neighbors.” said Joanie Jeannette, CEO, Lehigh Regional Medical Center.
