Underway in Lehigh Acres

Update 3:30 p.m.

Unnamed sources say the man was shot in the chest. Another person was taken to the hospital. The extent of that person’s injuries is unclear at this time.

The 911 caller says shots woke him and his family up. He says the shots were so close, they sounded like they were in his own front yard.

“I woke up to three consecutive shots. Bang, bang, bang,” said Bradley Hill.

Deputies are looking for whoever is responsible, but say they neighborhood is not at risk.

On November 1, 2013, at 3:58 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in reference to a shots fired call at 4601 25th ST. SW in Lehigh Acres.

Responding deputies located a deceased subject, the scene was immediately secured and perimeter was established.

Due to the nature of the incident, The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

At this time it appears there is no information to suggest the neighborhood is in any danger.
