The Lehigh Singers, a 501 ( C ) (3) not-for-profit choral organization, is hosting its second annual Fundraising Auction on Saturday, September 28, in the Royal Palm Square, 1400 Colonial Boulevard, Suite 29-31 in Ft. Myers. The function will begin promptly at 7 p.m. To get to the suite, take Royal Palm Boulevard off Summerlin and take the first night into the complex. The unit 29-31 is right next to the porte-cochere.
There will be entertainment from several vocal groups in the area, saluting the work of The Lehigh Singers. Live auction items include an antique Meshed rug (10’X 13) valued at $4,500, a new Bidjar rug (8’X10’) valued at $4,000, several oil paintings (listed artists), signed prints and several silent auction items including a 7 day, 6 night stay at a resort on the East Coast of Florida along with several golf outings. Food, drink, entertainment and great items on the auction block (with our Celebrity Auctioneer) will make for a memorable evening. Admission fee is $10 in advance and $15 at the door per person. TLS has been in existence since 1969, originally singing for events in Lehigh Acres, but the group is branching out and singing at venues in Ft. Myers, Immokalee and LaBelle. It is open to anyone who wants to sing. Auditions are held by calling the Music Director. The music director for the group is Candace Baranowski Sundby. Candace is the Professor of voice and choral activity at Edison College in Ft. Myers. She was a Fulbright scholar with the Stuttgart Opera for several years and a graduate of The Eastman School in Rochester, NY.
