Arts of the Inland
Presents Grant

Arts of the Inland presented Megan Burkhead, a student at Lehigh Senior High and a member of the Southwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, a grant at their September 17th meeting at ABC Framing.  The Youth Orchestra has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City in April of 2014 and the grant to Megan will enable her to participate in this prestigious event.  AOI President LaVon Koenig and Board members Jere Carrick, Joel Hawkins, Dick Kennedy, Freida Miller and Richard Georgian presented Megan with a $500 check.

The Arts of the Inland is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to facilitate and nurture the creation, development, promotion and education of arts and culture in the inland communities of South Florida.

The AOI organization had also provided grants earlier this year to students in the LaBelle area for the Firehouse Community Summer Theatre program.
