Residents are frustrated and fed up. Miles of miles residential roadway in Lehigh Acres have gone neglected for a long time. The roads are barely paved, creating hazards for drivers and their cars.
Now Lee County is working on delivering some relief.

“When it rained it would create ruts and made it unsafe to ride. It also damaged the paint to my vehicles,” said Lehigh Acres resident Ken Keehler.
Keehler called the county time and time again — his road was paved earlier this year.
“It was a pleasant surprise to see the asphalt pavers,” Keehler said.
As a motorcycle rider who dealt with dents and dings from loose rock for years, now he’s free to ride to a happier home.
“It increases the property value and makes it a more desirable location,” Keehler said.
