Dear Editor,
As Southwest Florida and elsewhere across our gorgeous state continues to strive for economic recovery, the News-Press elects to run the attached cartoon today in their Sunday edition. Note the crossed guns that warn visitors to “enter at your own risk.” How does such a thing bode for folks around the world considering our state or region as the place for them to relocate their business, family, purchase a vacation place, or simply pay us a visit?
If you believe as I do that such a proclamation is beyond stupid, I suggest you share this message with anyone in your contact list that has an interest in continued economic recovery and ask that they join me in requesting that the News-Press cease and desist from such counterproductive activity.
