Medicine Celebrates 2 Years

Lee County Volunteers in Medicine held their 2 years celebration and fundraiser at the Microtel Inn in Lehigh Acres. Over 150 people attended this event. The Hunker Down Band entertained the crowd of supports.

According to Richard Anglickis, Vice President of LCVIM said to the supports, “We’re had a rocky start but things are looking up Lee County Volunteers in Medicine”.  LCVIM recently received a check for $10,000 from Health Management Associates, Inc. the parent company of Lehigh Regional Medical Center.

Thanks to all the sponsorship’s and door prizes for the celebration 100% of all the proceeds went to the free clinic LCVIM runs at 1154 Lee Blvd Suite 2 Lehigh Acres Fl 33936.

The BBQ was to celebrate two years of successful operation with more than 1200 patient visits since the clinic opened in May 2011.  The venue was provided free of charge.  The food was donated by Morrisons, and cooked by the Lehigh Acres Knights of Columbus.  The band played free of charge and donated proceeds from hats and t-shirts sales.  The event, from sponsors, donations, and tickets sales brought in just over $9,000.
