SR 82, at Gregory Avenue and Haviland Avenue intersection: Construction project: Crews continue work to resurface and widen the westbound lane on SR 82, and add a new eastbound left and right turn lane at both Gregory Avenue S and Haviland Avenue S. Over the next two weeks, crews will be placing asphalt throughout the project. Motorists should expect nighttime/overnight lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday on both Gregory Avenue S. and Haviland Avenue S. between SR 82 and Meadows Road. SR 82 traffic will periodically shift to one lane during the nighttime work. Motorists should expect some minor traffic delays as they travel through this area. Estimated project completion is fall 2013. Ajax Paving, Inc. is the contractor.
SR 82 from east of Ortiz Avenue (CR 65) to south of Lee Boulevard (CR 884): Construction project: Crews are adding pavement markings along SR 82 and near the intersecting side streets from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction workers and equipment near the roadway. The project is estimated for completion in summer 2013. The Contractor is AKCA, Inc.
