The Lehigh Acres Fire Board voted 5 to 0 to proceed to contract talks with Interim Fire Chief John Wayne. The Board wishes to have this contract done and ready for signatures at the July 30, 2013 meeting.
In other news in the fire district, FF EMT Justin Diaz, FF EMT Troy Van Dyck and FF Paramedic Bradley LaBar received their stork pins for delivering a baby girl enroute to Health Park Medical Center.
Also former Lehigh Acres Fire Commissioner Jeff Brendt is now the Fire Chef of Iona McGregor Fire Dept in Fort Myers.
