Varsity Lakes Middle School captured the Lee County middle school girls’ team championship by scoring 203 points which was 87 points above the second-place team, on April 30 at Fort Myers High.
Marissa Lovett managed to a win the eighth-grade 1,600-meter championship with a school-record time of 5:37.75.
Aleisha Curry also stood out by clinching the sixth-grade championship in shotput and discus to help lead the team to its sixth team title in a row.
