Grow A Gardener (GAG) is an 8-session, weekly workshop on edible gardening for youth aged 8-15. Sessions include soil, seeds, water, worm composting, plant parts, propagation, insects, and fruit/veggie ID. All instructors are volunteer Lee County Master Gardeners.
Workshops will be held June 3rd – July 29th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Veterans Park Recreation Center, 55 Homestead Road South, Lehigh Acres. Youth 8-15 can sign up for this program on webtrac.leegov.com. A materials fee of $20 per child is payable to the instructor. A $10 per person (or $25 for a family) lifetime membership fee to Veterans Park is also required if you are not already a member.
