The Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres will be officially presented a check for $1,625 to Lee County Parks & Recreation’s Lehigh Acres Community Pool.
In partnership with the Lehigh Acres Community Pool Project Committee, the Kiwanis Club helped to sponsor several fundraising projects as part of the “Make a Difference Day” project held throughout 2012 to enhance the swimming experience in Lehigh Acres. Dedicated members of the Lehigh Acres Community Pool, The Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres and the Lehigh Acres Senior Center joined together to collect private donations and hold fundraisers.
In addition, Lee County Parks & Recreation contributed $2,000 to assist in their efforts to purchase swimming equipment and pool furniture. As a result, more than 40 pieces of brand new furniture and other equipment were purchased and delivered in March.
