Lee County Sheriff Deputies are investigating after an East County Water Control District credit card was used at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Jail Complex.
According to the report, Brenda Fallon, the Comptroller for the East County Water Control District (ECWCD), called Lee County Sheriff office to report the fraudulent use of the ECWCD company credit card.
Fallon explained in the report that between April 30 and May 7, someone used the company’s credit card without her knowledge.
Fallon says the card was used for or by an inmate at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Jail. She also report the card used for other purchases off the internet.
Fallon told the detectives that were making the report that this was the third time in 12 months that ECWCD company card had been compromised.
David Lindsay Executive Director of ECWCD said, “Brenda is working with law enforcement and the bank to resolve these issues with the card.”
