Lee County Public Schools is pleased to announce that several of our schools have been awarded grants through the Tanger Outlets’ TangerKIDS grants program. The TangerKIDS grants program is designed to assist schools by providing grants for special projects, needed programs or equipment. Schools were required to submit their project ideas to the TangerKIDS program. The Tanger-appointed grant committee reviewed all requests and selected which schools would receive funding for their projects and ideas for the 2013–2014 school year. Grants were awarded based on need and program/project scope. This year, four of our schools were chosen to receive grants:
Harns Marsh Elementary School –Butterfly Garden Project $1,000
Gulf Middle School – Hands on History Project $550
Colonial Elementary School – The Science of Life Project $950
Cypress Lake Middle School – Robotics Exploratory Class $1,000
