That’s the AAA hotline for their annual Tow-2-Go program, which makes sure partiers get home safely if they’ve had too much to drink. Even if you don’t need the service, you may need to call for someone else.
According to AAA, since the program’s inception in 1998, Tow to Go has helped more than 20,000 intoxicated drivers – and their vehicles – get home.
Those who call can get a free, confidential ride within a 10-mile radius. No more than two people can be transported at a time.
Designed as a last resort, it’s based on the availability of AAA Service Technicians and tow trucks during times of high call volume.
AAA says if a person is too intoxicated to be safely transported, law enforcement may be contacted to assist with getting the person home.
