The Community Council has taken on a project for the national “Make a Difference Day” here in Lehigh Acres. The project is to help less fortunate individuals in the community. To that end, the following items are sought as donations from churches and businesses in Lehigh Acres:
Small bar of soap
Individual travel size bottle of shampoo
Individual travel size bottle of mouthwash
Individual travel size tube of toothpaste
Toothbrush
Disposable razor
One packet of sanitary hand wipes (can be found at a
Dollar Store for $1 each)
Small dental floss package
One roll of toilet paper
Brown paper bag to put items
Bags will be assembled at the Faith Lutheran Church at the end of September or early October to give to Lehigh Community Services. There are approximately 250 families on various lists considered needy. Call Don Poidevin or Jim Kreger about helping with this project @ 239-369-6177.
This is a great project. I will support and contribute to it.
