Please be advised that garbage, recycling and yard waste collections in unincorporated Lee County, the city of Bonita Springs and town of Ft. Myers Beach have been suspended for Monday. Please secure all garbage, recycling and yard waste containers and loose material from around your house and bring indoors to a garage or shed if possible.
Monday’s collection will be performed on Tuesday. Regular scheduled collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed for one day.
According to Florida Department of Transportation tolls on EASTBOUND I-75 (Alligator Alley) have been suspended for the time being to aid in evacuation efforts.
