Drivers on Colonial and Lee boulevards need to be aware of a lane shift that will occur Tuesday night.
Beginning at 8 p.m., the westbound travel lanes at Colonial/Lee Boulevard through the intersection with S.R. 82 will shift north to the newly constructed roadway.
The intersection of S.R. 82 and Colonial/Lee Boulevard will be reduced to one through lane in each direction while crews relocate traffic signals, restripe lanes and shift traffic.
Law enforcement officers will be at the intersection to direct motorists and to assist during the lane shifts. If possible, motorists are asked to seek alternate routes Tuesday night until crews complete the lane shift work.
This traffic shift is necessary for crews to construct the median of Colonial/Lee Boulevard as part of the S.R. 82 widening project. The project is expected to be completed this summer
