East Lee County High School held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new expanded JROTC Leadership Academy, including a Challenge Course and Training Complex. This project is being funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Magnet Schools Assistance Program. 
The Leadership Academy provides students an opportunity to develop and improve in many ways uses military skills training to teach self-discipline, confidence and pride in a job well done Challenges and opportunities include:
- Sharpen communications skills
- Promote and encourage citizenship through participation in community service projects
- Develop leadership potential
- Strengthen self-esteem
- Improve incentives to live drug-free
- Promote graduation from high school and develop a solid foundation for career development

I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.I will always conduct myself to bring credit to my family, country, school and the Corps of Cadets
