Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange
Our May speaker will D&B Nursery, a local Lehigh Acres nursery. They will be speaking to us on selecting fruit plants and how to prepare the soil for planting fruit here in Lehigh.
The meeting starts promptly at 5:30pm on Thursday, May 18th at the Veterans Park Recreational Building. A once-in-a-lifetime membership fee to Veterans Park of $10 per person is required.
There is no fee for the Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange. A free raffle ticket is provided to each member that brings in an item to exchange whether it be seeds, cuttings, plants, fruit, veggies, or a healthy drink or snack.
Note:
The Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange needs seed envelopes. Our bank-donated envelopes have run out and Suntrust tells me they can’t afford to give us any more. If you have a source for any type of small, free envelope, please let me know.
