\"\"<\/a>Candidates running for election for local and state offices in the August 2012 Primary and\u00a0 November 2012 General Election, including County Commission, School Board, State Representatives and all other elected offices will be meeting with voters and giving short speeches at Politics in the Park on July 7, 2012 from Noon to 4 PM. The Lehigh Acres Community Council sponsors this free event.<\/p>\n

This event is unrelated to any political party and all registered voters, or those wishing to register to vote in the November election, are welcome to attend the free event. All registered candidates for local and state offices received an invitation to attend this event. At least 50 candidates have already committed to attend; however, more RSVPs are expected prior to July 7. The candidates will have the opportunity to have information at tables and talk to the public before or after their speeches. Candidates will be given 3 minutes to talk about their platform.<\/p>\n

Politics in the Park will be held indoors at 5146 Leonard Blvd in Lehigh Acres.<\/a> This is the campus of New Life Assembly of God; the church is not affiliated with the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
