This project is being funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education\u2019s Magnet Schools Assistance Program. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/ECLHS-COLOR-GUARD.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-8118\" title=\"ECLHS COLOR GUARD\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/ECLHS-COLOR-GUARD-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Leadership Academy provides students an opportunity to develop and improve in many ways uses military skills training to teach self-discipline, confidence and pride in a job well done\u00a0 Challenges and opportunities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sharpen communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Promote and encourage citizenship through participation in community service projects<\/li>\n<li>Develop leadership potential<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen self-esteem<\/li>\n<li>Improve incentives to live drug-free<\/li>\n<li>Promote graduation from high school and develop a solid foundation for career development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>The Junior ROTC Cadet Creed<\/h3>\n<p>I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.I will always conduct myself to bring credit to my family, country, school and the Corps of Cadets<br \/>\nI am loyal and patriotic. I am the future of the United States of America<br \/>\nI do not lie, cheat or steal and will always be accountable for my actions and deeds<br \/>\nI will always practice good citizenship and patriotism<br \/>\nI will work hard to improve my mind and strengthen my body<br \/>\nI will seek the mantle of leadership and stand prepared to uphold the Constitution and the American way of life<br
