Tuscan what on to say that even if you assume that the fire department gets another SAFER this year in August, the projections show if everything else stays the same the department will most likely lose up to 10 million dollars in the next five years.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tuscan went on to say \u201cPersonnel costs are currently 88% of all expenses for the district but during these economic times it\u2019s not the highest number I seen lately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was also revealed that the department finally admits that it has an interest free internal loan from the general fund to the impact fee fund for over 2.5 million dollars to pay off the station and equipment. The Fire Commissioners briefly talked about removing this loan off the books but no action was taken.<\/p>\n<p>At the end the meeting it mentioned that a Fire Commissioner Linda Carter who is the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Manager for the Fire Department was using the CERT email address for personal gain.
