She was convicted in January of manslaughter with a weapon and was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison<\/p>\n<p>The News-Press reports that prosecutors had previously offered her a plea deal for five years of probation.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say James stabbed her husband, 44-year-old Arthur James, in the back in January 2009. The two had been fighting at their Lehigh Acres home after she learned he had cheated on her.<\/p>\n<p>An arresting deputy testified that Leatha James confessed to the stabbing, but it wasn&#8217;t documented in the arrest report.
