The child was en route to his bus stop.<\/p>\n<p>The child sustained serious injuries resulting in being flown to Lee Memorial Hospital. Due to the severity of injuries the child was transported via Med Flight to Tampa General Hospital.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The preliminary investigation determined that speed was not a factor in this accident. The child did travel into the path of a moving vehicle and was struck.
