UPDATE:<\/em> The missing mother and child have been located and are safe. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 31, 2012, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a missing mother and child.\u00a0 Deputies responded to the 563 Ione Avenue in Fort Myers and efforts to locate the pair were initiated.\u00a0 A check of area motels and frequented neighborhoods in Fort Myers has been unsuccessful.\u00a0 It’s hoped release of the photos and this information will encourage citizens to provide information on their location.<\/p>\n

The missing persons are identified as:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>1.) Mirto “Ledie” Tribbitt , most widely known as Ledie (ley- dee)<\/p>\n

Age 39 (date of birth 6\/26\/72)\u00a0 5\u20191\u201d \u00a0150 lbs.<\/p>\n

Last seen wearing a white t-shirt; blue jeans; has small mole on chin<\/p>\n

Last seen wearing red shirt and shorts and has a curly afro.<\/p>\n

Ledie takes several prescription medications which she did not take with her.\u00a0\u00a0She also did not take any provisions for the child.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0She may be in the Palm Beach Boulevard or Dunbar areas of Fort Myers.<\/p>\n
