According to Homan, this hotline would allow citizens to report individuals suspected of crimes such as fraud, theft, child trafficking and other crimes. According to Homan, incoming President Donald Trump\u2019s deportation plan will include \u201ccollateral arrests\u201d-Illegal immigrants without criminal records who are discovered as ICE agents search for their targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 2020 and according to The Migration Policy Institute, there were nearly 800,000 Illegal Aliens living in our state. Since Joe Biden became President, he has sent tens of thousands more Illegals to the Sunshine State. The Pew Research Center in 2021 found that Florida has 4.1% of total population of U.S Illegal Immigrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law, Bill (SB) 1718 which, among other actions, requires hospitals that receive Medicaid of Children\u2019s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding, to collect information to collect information on patient\u2019s immigration status.
