Since that time, Governor DeSantis and DCF made the decision that all Christian, but yet certified providers for this program would no longer be allowed to provide such services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In what appears to be an attack on Christianity and Christian mental health workers, DeSantis and DCF bypassed the Florida legislature and changed statutes and codes written into law to bar Christian providers from protecting women and men victimized by abusers. The changes appear to also violate Florida Sunshine Laws, which have resulted in a federal lawsuit against both the Governor DeSantis and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
