For those who have forgotten, when a traffic light is out, you must treat the intersection as a four-way stop.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Come to a complete stop. Make sure you check traffic coming from all areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yield to other vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists already in the intersection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proceed through the intersection in the order of arrival, just like at a traditional four-way stop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This rule applies to all types of intersections, including every:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4-way intersections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3-way intersections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-way intersections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not being in a hurry and having patience is imperative. Remember to exercise caution when navigating intersections with malfunctioning traffic lights. If you\u2019re unsure about the situation, it\u2019s always better to err on the side of caution and treat the intersection as a four-way stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, be sure to always drive defensively.
