Did you know that a federal prosecutor from the January 6th<\/sup> protest was arrested here in Florda for allegedly stabbing a driver?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Patrick Scruggs, a 39-year-old former federal prosecutor was driving along I-275 on Tuesday morning when another car collided with his.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police said during their investigation, they found that the driver who crashed into Scruggs\u2019 vehicle had experienced a medical emergency moments before the crash which led him to swerve into two other cars-one of which, belonging to Mr. Scruggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahmed Gahaf who was the person who was driving the second car that was struck by the victim told police that he saw the driver of the vehicle which hit his, and Scruggs\u2019 car, slumped over his [driver\u2019s] wheel, realizing that he needed some medical attention, went over to check on that driver. He suddenly awakened and bolted his vehicle forward into Gahaf\u2019s vehicle and then into Scruggs\u2019 car as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scruggs reportedly exited his car and walked over to the man who had the medical emergency. Gahaf watched in horror as Scruggs stabbed that driver who had the medical issue which caused the accident. As Gahaf went over to intervene, Mr. Scruggs allegedly threatened him with the knife as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to his arrest affidavit, Patrick Scruggs has been charged with armed burglary, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was arraigned and later released on a $65,000 bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
