<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nNeighbors said they were not surprised by flooding, but rather by how fast it came up to their properties this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jessie Hill was on his way back home Thursday night after grocery shopping when he said the sky just opened up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was hot,\u201d he said. \u201cAll of a sudden you know, you come out\u2026 it looks kind of dark and I didn\u2019t know it was going to start raining like that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Water immediately began to fill his Lehigh community. At that same time, his wife received a tornado warning. <\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\u201cMy wife told me it was right over us. I\u2019m like \u2018really?\u2019 she said yes.\u201d Hill said. \u201cYes, it gets like that\u2026 but then it drains really fast.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But he said usually it does not flood this fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\u2019s just grateful he did not lose a second car to these deep waters like he had in another summer storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt went right here on my car and what happened was a truck came behind me and it had big tires,\u201d Hill said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said there are things the county could do to help prevent flooding and clear standing water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think maybe they need to go through the ditches again, dig them a little bit deeper, clean out the pipes and stuff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Hill counts his blessings through each downpour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe still have the roof, it\u2019s not like Ian when it came through,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
