That\u2019s the biggest fear,\u201d said the owner of the Mobil Gas Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A security camera shows a man parking his truck, towing a trailer inside the car wash at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday to keep it out of the rain. Then, he went into the store, where the owner told the media he tried buying something requiring identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believe (it) was a tobacco product,\u201d said the store owner.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"461\" height=\"218\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-31a-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-31a-4.png 461w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-31a-4-300x142.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>However, the clerk said he didn\u2019t have an ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTransaction didn\u2019t go through. So he left,\u201d said the store owner. \u201cA little bit angrier,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cameras show the man walking back into his truck, where he pulls out of the car wash and seems to get stuck. Then the driver repeatedly maneuvers back and forth before ramming into the side of the wall in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBack and forth. He was trying to get out,\u201d said the gas station owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually, after getting out, the video shows the truck leaving without stopping to check the damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNobody\u2019s gonna feel good about this kind of damage to your property,\u201d said the owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said money is tight, and if engineers rule the damage as structural, he\u2019s worried about how much that might cost. So, he\u2019s moving so that someone will recognize the truck and call LCSO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully, somebody will come up,\u201d said the store owner. \u201cJust come forward and do the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCome forward and give us some more info about this guy,\u201d said the store owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could see in the video that the driver was so quick to leave he nearly hit another car in the process. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A video showed a driver backing up and hitting the side of a drive-thru car wash in Lehigh Acres, causing parts of the wall to fall down.
