Did you know that two healthcare workers in Brevard County were recently arrested for allegedly taunting and abusing an elderly patent while also broadcasting the event live, on social media?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last few months, there has been a string of arrests throughout Florida of healthcare employees who have traumatized, assaulted and terrorized elderly residents in healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a press conference regarding the recent arrests, Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced that the first suspect, 18-year-old Jada Harris was arrested and charged with video voyeurism, abuse and neglect of an elderly of disabled adult, as well as interception or disclosure of wired communications. Her court-ordered bond was set at $6,000. The second suspect, 20-year-old Shy\u2019Tiona Bishop was also arrested and charged with video voyeurism and abuse, neglect of an elderly or disabled adult. Her bond was set lower than Harris\u2019, and at only $4,000. According to court records, both women met bond and have been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff Ivey assured all members of the press that Harris and Bishop were treated better than how they allegedly treated the elderly patient of whom the two suspects were responsible. Ivey concluded his press conference by stating that, \u201cI\u2019m pretty ticked off about this, as you can tell\u2026our corrections team, the professionals that they are, will treat these two pieces of crap with professionalism, and they\u2019ll do their job.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
