Being arrested and charged in the drug case, violated the terms of his probation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sentences are to run concurrent. Murphy\u2019s arrest stems from two drug sales that occurred in May and June of 2022. While under surveillance in May, the defendant sold 1.4 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant and an undercover detective with the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office Narcotics Unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The narcotics transaction took place in the defendant\u2019s driveway. In June, Murphy sold drugs to the undercover detective again. That time, Murphy stated that he did not have enough \u201chard,\u201d so he also included \u201csoft,\u201d using street terminology for crack and powder cocaine. The crack cocaine had a weight of .6 grams and the powder cocaine had a weight of 1.8 grams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Murphy also offered his phone number to the undercover detective in case he wanted to buy more crack cocaine in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistant State Attorney Anastasia Snetkova prosecuted the cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercorey Travaris Murphy, 26, of Lehigh Acres, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison for two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine.
