Multiple users, including folks on the TechCrunch team, are currently unable to view links and images on the social network. Twitter says the issues are being caused by an internal change. According to reports on third-party web monitoring service&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Downdetector<\/a>, the issues began at around 11:50 a.m. ET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"990\" height=\"532\" src=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/twitter-melting.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57419\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSome parts of Twitter may not be working as expected right now,\u201d the company said in a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/twittersupport\/status\/1632792942262747136\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweet.<\/a>&nbsp;\u201cWe made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We\u2019re working on this now and will share an update when it\u2019s fixed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking on a link brings up an error message that says \u201cYour current API plan does not include access to this endpoint, please see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.twitter.com\/en\/docs\/twitter-api?uuid=C0mGaQCvAmW3hsXa0352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/developer.twitter.com\/en\/docs\/twitter-api<\/a>&nbsp;for more information.\u201d The link in the error message also appears to be broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest outage comes about a week after Elon Musk slashed more than 200 jobs in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/26\/more-layoffs-at-twitter-and-loyalist-esther-crawford-isnt-spared\/\">the latest round of layoffs at the company<\/a>. The cuts involved Twitter Blue head Esther Crawford and newsletter app Revue\u2019s Martijn de Kuijper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Elon Musk took over Twitter last October and fired thousands of employees, many feared that the social network would slowly fall apart. This is not the first time that Twitter has faced issues in the past few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/03\/01\/twitter-timeline-is-broken-for-multiple-users\/\">a few days ago<\/a>, many parts of the social network, including the timeline, were broken for users all over the world. Last month, Twitter started showing users that they were over their \u201cdaily rate limit,\u201d while another bug was preventing people from following other users.
