Gregory Bueno from the Florida Highway Patrol, the employees rode a John Deere side-by-side Gator and were picking up trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They tried to cross the southbound lanes when a vehicle hit them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lehigh Acres Gazette tried to reach out to FDOT for comment and no answer at the time of posting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both employees were taken to the hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Contracting Services employees were hit by a vehicle on I-75 at mile marker 112 southbound on Feb. 11.
